How cool is this someone thought enough of Hiding From Comfort that they would go and draw a picture of a wave unloading at cyclops

Hiding from comfort was also The winner of the 2011 riptide peer poll in the best movie of the year section.

Hiding from comfort part two is underway however we will not be releasing anything till a month before it is due.

Founds feature is on its way with Movement issue 39 and its BIG, bigger than any other bodyboarding magazine has ever gone so this one is a real collectors item and with Movement running duel covers to celebrate you get a choice of which mag you want.

Found feature is a mag in itself but movement have all the usual departments and more to feast on over the christmas holidays so rip in.

Fat & Phat!!!

We’re giving everyone a heads up to go hit the gym (arms and chest fuck the rest) because Issue 39 is on it’s way and she’s PLUMP. It’s the first time in history a Bodyboarding Magazine has broke the 1kg mark. T-Rob, Gornall and Cade Sharp hit some garlic naan and serious tube time in India. Ewan Donnachie and recently crowned fronton champ Jason Finlay lock into the Indonesian oasis that is Nias. All things Houston. This and all the usual goodness you’ve been loving hits reinforced shelves Monday the 19th.

Shark island challenge 2011

You could say Shark island is the heart beat of Australian bodyboarding, actually it is the heartbeat and although I can’t be certain i’m sure bodyboarding was in mind when everything aligned to create the monolith which create’s some of the roundest thickest squarest barrels you can paddle into.

Not every year the island contest run’s but I can tell you every year the island contest does run it’s a good year.

THE 64 PAGE FOUND FEATURE – DROPPING SOON IN MOVEMENT #39

This December Found Boards will release an evolution in bodyboard marketing all within the silky pages of Movements biggest issue ever #39.

The brainchild of Founds founder, owner and all round charger Mitch Rawlins, the 64 page feature is no little project. Around a year in the making and backing up Mitch’s latest film “Hiding from Comfort” the feature is more like a magazine in itself, pulling together simply jaw dropping imagery from the best lens men in the business – Trent Mitchell, Mike Maxted, Ray Collins, Erick Regnard(Tungsten), Alex Ormerod, Luke Shadbolt plus a host of others.

Pulling the whole Project together Mitch teamed up with Mike Egan on Design (X Riptide & 71mag Designer) and Nick Perry (Bodyboard journo for Le’boogie and Movement and shredder in his own right) for the Editorial. “It’s definitely the best job I’ve worked on all year” Mike Egan said.

The feature is split up into several sections covering all the background on how Found was established, profiles on all the Found Team Riders and a special insight into Founds R&D into making the ultimate boards with master shaper Jarrod Gibson.

“The guys at Movement were a pleasure to work with, all the photographers were super stoked to be working with Mitch and the amount of freedom I had with design and the room to run just big shots was really amazing, and wow the photos are insane, I’m sure crew will froth when they see it. It’s a project only Mitch and the Found Team could produce, a real credit to their skills in the water, dedication to searching for waves and experience working with the top photographers. “
