This day was special with only three of us which included Dave Winchester Ray Collins(photographer) & myself sharing A framing peaks up and down the beach with no one in sight. We surfed for hours.

Using the advanced technologies of Precision Stringer Insertion^TM (PSI) exclusive to Foundboards, we have developed a new concept in bodyboard design. This year, along with the 2012/13 range, Foundboards also brings you the new and unique Found Torsion^TM Stringer.  The concept of the Found Torsion^TM was to create a higher performance stringer and using the process of elimination, Mitch wanted to remove the weak points of stringer design that didn’t work so well and add what was needed to improve the functionality of the board.  With performance always being the central goal, Foundbards came up with the Found Torsion^TM, a board that is more durable without added stiffness, like with more common stringer configurations.

The Found Torsion^TM stringer works with the board, the rider and the wave with more efficiency thus adding more performance, which leads to better riding.  The main advantage the Found Torsion^TM has over other more common stringer configurations is the ability it has to work more seamlessly with the core’s structure, while supplying flexible tension and equalizing the distribution of flex throughout the board.

“I knew during my first surf testing out the Found Torsion^TM that I would never revert to a traditional stringer configuration. The new found flex and speed allowed me to spring out of moves faster and further explore my own capabilities.  This has me enjoying my own surfing even more, which is what its all about.” Mitch Rawlins, Foundboards.

Riding a Foundboard is a life well ridden.

Last season in Hawaii Thomas Robinson rocked up with a Found Revival series model under his arm and the people at FoundBoards though it looked great.

Being the new company that Found is we knew that it was going to be tough to get a rider like Thom on the team and to our amazement all he said was that he was over riding terrible boards and wanted to ride good boards again.

We have some good plans for Thom or should we say Thom has some plans that we are going to support in the near future, the kid has always got some project he is working on.
